Ben Henderson
Ben credits his existence to a Type 49 Bugatti from the 1030's. This car lead to his mother and father meeting and becoming friends. Ben is the offspring of a folk and jazz singer and a mechanical engineer. The two shared an interest in classic cars which bred a similar passion in their son.
Ben's first car was a 1982 Mazda 323. Not exactly a flying start into the world of classic cars. With a fascination for all things Jaguar, including sharing a birth date with founder Sir William Lyons, Ben's admiration for Jags saw him using copious amounts of contact adhesive to glue burr walnut veneer to the dash and door cards of the Mazda in order to replicate the interior of a British classic in a Japanese runabout. The things we do at 17.
Having trained as a teacher, and with a fascination for all things mechanical, Ben's desire to investigate the weird and wonderful world of inspired transport has lead him to the mantra of "long live the analogue motorcar".
